Authored by Drs. Lawrence Mayer and Paul McHugh, this report is the most thorough, expert and current review of the scientific literature and clinical reports on homosexuality. Major findings: there is no scientific evidence to support the claim that homosexuals are “born that way” and cannot change; especially among adolescents there is solid evidence that sexual orientation is fluid for many people and that most adolescents experiencing same sex attraction outgrow it by adulthood; compared to heterosexuals, homosexuals are between two and three times more likely to have been sexually abused; and compared to heterosexuals, homosexuals suffer a higher rate of mental and physical problems.
