Founded in the United States in 1999, Family Watch International (FWI) is a nonprofit international educational organization in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. Family Watch* is recognized as a tax-deductible nonprofit organization under section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. tax code.

Monitors, analyzes and reports on policy developments and research on the emerging cultural, social and legal dynamics affecting children and families.
Participates in and monitors UN conferences and international negotiations and leads family advocacy teams to effect pro-family outcomes in UN documents, policies and programs.
Consults with, advises and educates government leaders, UN diplomats and other stakeholders to help them advocate more effectively for family-centered policies and programs.
Prepares and disseminates newsletters, books, documentaries, family policy briefs, action alerts, and other materials to equip parents, policymakers and concerned citizens with tools to defend the family.
Hosts conferences, forums, events, panels, and training sessions for UN diplomats, government leaders and concerned citizens in the United States and abroad. Prepares and files amicus briefs in key court cases dealing with family issues.
Promotes family-based solutions to world problems, such as poverty, HIV/AIDS, and the orphan crisis.
