As the UN celebrates the International Day of Rural Women, Family Watch International (FWI) is pleased to share our film titled “The Family & Sustainable Development: Strong Families – Prosperous Nations.” The institution of the family can provide protection and stability to rural women and girls, and we honor the countless sacrifices that rural mothers make for their families as they rear and nurture their children. The family is the BEST and most ESSENTIAL element for developing nations to eradicate poverty, provide universal access to education, and promote gender equality for all women and girls. Finally, the UN Resolution on the Protection of the Family adopted by the UN Human Rights Council recognizes that the family is KEY to achieving development goals and solving rural world problems!
